Q-Collar Week in Review (4/8/24) - Q30

This week was yet another week filled with exciting performances from athletes wearing the Q-Collar. Check out some of their highlights below.

NCAA Men’s Lacrosse:

  • Notre Dame Attackman Pat Kavanagh scored 4 goals, including this unassisted finish, and logged 3 assists in the Fighting Irish’s 15-12 victory over Duke University. For his performance, Kavanagh was named Lacrosse Network's Player of the Week.
  • On the other side, Duke University Attackman Brennan O’Neill scored 2 goals (#1 & #2) in the Blue Devils’ 15-12 loss to Notre Dame.
  • Cornell University Attackman Ryan Goldstein netted 5 total goals and logged 2 total assists across the Big Red’s two games this week, an 18-17 double overtime victory over Syracuse University and a 14-8 victory over Brown University.
  • Princeton University Attackman Nate Kabiri netted a hat-trick (#1, #2, #3) and recorded 2 assists in the Tigers’ 12-10 victory over Lehigh University. Kabiri’s performance made him the 4th leading freshman goal-scorer in program history. Kabiri’s teammate, Attackman Colin Burns, scored 1 goal and caused 1 turnover in the win.
  • University of Utah Attackman Ryan Stines scored 2 goals (#1 & #2) in the Utes’ 14-6 win over Robert Morris (PA) University.
  • UPENN Attackmen James Shipley (#1 & #2) and Cam Rubin (#1 & #2) scored 2 goals apiece, and Defenseman Tyler Kuehl scored his first collegiate goal in the Quakers’ 12-9 loss to Yale University.
  • University of Albany Attackman Silas Richmond scored 2 goals, including this incredible behind-the-back finish, and logged an assist in the Great Danes’ 13-12 loss to Bryant University.
  • University of North Carolina Attackman Owen Duffy scored 1 goal in the Tar Heels’ 14-6 loss to the University of Virginia.
  • Harvard University Attackman John Aurandt IV scored 1 goal in the Crimson’s 13-7 victory over Dartmouth College.
  • Colgate University Defenseman Aidan Murnane recovered 3 ground balls and caused 3 turnovers in the Red Raiders’ 14-11 victory over Army.
  • University of Michigan Defenseman Cathal Roberts recovered 3 ground balls and caused 3 turnovers in the Wolverines’ 9-7 loss to Rutgers University.

NCAA Women’s Lacrosse:

  • University of Maryland Midfielder Shaylan Ahearn recorded 10 draw controls in the Terps’ 17-9 loss to Northwestern University. Goalkeeper Emily Sterling recorded 10 saves in the loss.
  • Syracuse University Defender Katie Goodale logged 2 draw controls and caused 1 turnover in the Orange’s 16-7 win over the University of Pittsburgh.

MLS Soccer:

  • San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse scored a goal in the Earthquakes’ 4-3 loss to Austin FC.
  • FC Dallas Defender Omar Gonzalez started and played all 90 minutes of FC Dallas’ 0-0 draw against St. Louis City SC.

MLB Baseball:

  • San Francisco Giants Catcher Patrick Bailey went 3 for 13 with a home run, 1 run batted in, and caught 1 runner stealing across the 4 games he appeared in, 2 against the Los Angeles Dodgers and 2 against the San Diego Padres.

MILB Baseball:

  • Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays AAA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 2 for 16 with 2 doubles, including this blast to right-center field, and 2 runs batted in across the 4 games he appeared in, all against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Miami Marlins AAA Affiliate).
