Q-Collar Week in Review (4/1/24) - Q30

Last week's performances from athletes wearing the Q-Collar were no joke. Check out some of their highlights below.

NCAA Men’s Lacrosse:

  • UPENN Attackman Cam Rubin scored 6 goals, including this sock-trick game-winner in double overtime to defeat Cornell University 11-10. Rubin’s teammate, Midfielder James Shipley, scored a goal and logged 2 assists in the win.
  • University of North Carolina Attackman Owen Duffy scored 5 goals, including this top-corner snipe and this diving finish, in the Tar Heels’ 13-12 loss to Army.
  • University of Utah Attackman Ryan Stines scored 5 goals, including this snipe from deep and this diving score, in the Utes’ 16-14 win over Jacksonville University.
  • Duke University Attackman Brennan O’Neill netted a hat-trick (#1, #2, #3), his 7th hat-trick of the season, and recorded an assist in the Blue Devils’ 11-10 victory over Boston University.
  • Notre Dame Attackman Pat Kavanagh scored 2 goals and tallied 1 assist in the Fighting Irish’s 14-12 victory over Syracuse University.
  • Princeton University Attackman Colin Burns scored 2 goals, including this jumping finish, and logged 2 assists in the Tigers’ 15-15 victory over Dartmouth College. Burns’ teammate, Attackman Nate Kibiri, also scored 2 goals and logged an assist in the win.
  • Harvard University Attackman John Araundt IV scored a goal in the Crimson’s 13-10 loss to the University of Virginia.
  • University of Albany Attackman Silas Richmond scored a goal and logged 2 assists in the Great Danes’ 14-13 win over the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
  • St. Bonaventure University Attackman Connor Murphy scored a goal in the Bonnies’ 19-8 loss to the University of Richmond.
  • University of Michigan Defenseman Cathal Roberts logged an assist in the Wolverines’ 15-11 loss to Johns Hopkins University.

NCAA Women’s Lacrosse:

  • University of Maryland Goalkeeper Emily Sterling made 22 total saves across the Terps’ two games, a 13-9 loss to UPENN and an 8-6 victory over the University of Michigan. Sterling’s teammate, Midfielder Shaylan Ahearn, recorded 4 total draw controls across the two games.
  • Syracuse University Defender Katie Goodale recorded 4 total caused turnovers and 8 total draw controls across the Orange’s two games this week, a pair of victories over Loyola University (MD) and the University of Louisville.
  • University of Florida Goalkeeper Georgia Hoey made 4 total saves while collecting a pair of wins against Liberty University and Vanderbilt University this past week.

MLB Baseball:

  • San Francisco Giants Catcher Patrick Bailey went 4 for 9 at the plate with 1 run scored across the 3 games he appeared in this week, all against the San Diego Padres.

MILB Baseball:

  • Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays AAA Affiliate) Catcher Logan Driscoll went 5 for 7 with a double and a 2 RBI single across the two games he appeared in, both against the Norfolk Tides (Baltimore Orioles AAA Affiliate).

MLS Soccer:

  • San Jose Earthquakes Striker Jeremy Ebobisse subbed-in and contributed to the Earthquakes’ offensive efforts in their 2-1 loss to Houston Dynamo FC.

NWSL Soccer:

  • Bay FC Defender Emily Menges started and played all 90 minutes of their 2-1 loss to the Houston Dash.
  • Portland Thorns FC Defender Megan Klingenberg subbed-in and contributed to the Thorns’ defensive efforts in their 2-2 draw against Racing Louisville FC.
  • Angel City FC Midfielder Rocky Rodriguez subbed-in and contributed to Angel City FC’s offensive and defensive efforts in their 4-2 loss to the Kansas City Current.

NCAA Women’s Basketball:

  • University of Texas Forward Taylor Jones scored 11 points in the Longhorns’ 76-66 loss to North Carolina State University in the Elite Eight of the 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
